DONATE: Individual Giving

As the rates of poverty, homelessness, and adolescent substance use continue to grow in the Dallas metroplex, Rainbow Days’ prevention programs and supportive services continue to meet a vital need for our community’s most vulnerable children.  According to 2007 Beyond ABC: Growing up in Dallas County Report, 24.9% of children in Dallas are growing up in poverty.  These impoverished children typically have multiple “risk factors” and fewer “protective factors” which puts them at the greatest risk for alcohol and other drug use, juvenile delinquency, parental neglect and abuse, and a host of other problems*.  The National Association of Children of Alcoholics reports that 1 in 4 children in our country are children of alcoholics or substance abusers.  The cycle of addiction is more likely to repeat itself with children of addicted parents.

Your gift will help break this alarming cycle by providing the much needed funds to continue with our award-winning Family Connection Program, Community Connection, and the CBSG™ Program for Families.
