Camp Broadway Special Performance - Saturday, August 5

Please join us for a special performance by the children participating in Camp Broadway on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 10:30 am at Hillcrest Church. Camp Broadway, is a unique performing arts day camp designed especially for homeless children at Hillcrest Church in Dallas. Hillcrest Church is located at 12123 Hillcrest Road and this final performance is a great family event that is free to the public and visitors are welcome to attend.

First Tuesday Benefit at Half-Shells - Tuesday, August 8th

Get ready to raise $ for Rainbow Days by enjoying a meal out on the town! On Tuesday, August, 8, 2006, Rainbow Days will be the beneficiary of "The First Tuesday Benefit" at Half Shells Oyster Bar & Grill located at 6617 Snider Plaza - across the street from SMU. The restaurant will donate 15% of the day's sales to Rainbow Days. So mark your calendar and come join us on August 8th for lunch or dinner!



2nd Annual Texas Hold Em Tournament - Sunday, October 22

Thanks to all who made last year’s Tournament a success. This year’s tourney promises to be even bigger & better! So, makr your calendars for Sunday, October 22nd from 5-8pm at Mattito's Tex-Mex Restaurant. Fees for individual players will be $100 per person and will include a delicious Fajita Buffett from Mattito’s.

2006 Pot of Gold Luncheon - A Success!

Thanks to all of you who helped to make our 2006 Pot of Gold Luncheon a succes this year! Dallas Foundation Supports Summer Camps for Homeless Children

Rainbow Days would like to thank The Dallas Foundation for their generosity in granting $16,249 to our organization in support of our summer camps program for homeless children.

Thanks to this grant from the Dallas Foundation Fund, over 200 children residing in area homeless shelters have enjoyed one of three camps focusing on higher education, performing arts, and outdoor education this summer. So far, it has been a record-breaking year in regard to attendence with over 150 children participating this past week in our Outdoor Adventure Camp! The Dallas Foundation Fund has been supported by generous citizens of Dallas who wish to continuously improve the quality of life in our community. Thank you Dallas Foundation donors!

Baron & Blue Foundation Supports Family Connection Program

For the third year in a row, Rainbow Days is pleased to announce that the Baron & Blue Foundation has granted $10,000 in program support of the Family Connection program. The Baron & Blue Foundation’s financial contribution has played a criticial role in ensuring that over 1,000 homeless children recieve support groups, mentored arts retreats and an array of other supportive services. Thank you Baron & Blue Foundation for your continued generous support!

Champion Partners Supports Rainbow Days

Rainbow Days wishes to express sincere gratitude to Jeff & Ann Swope and Champion Partners LLC for their generous support of our programs this spring. As part of an effort to express gratitude to their employees during the Christmas holidays last year, Champion Partners selected charities from employee nominations to make a special donation in honor of their employees. In honor of Rainbow Days’ long-time volunteer, Melissa Preston Williams, who nominated Rainbow Days, Champion Partners made a $10,000 donation to our organization. Thank you Champion Partners and Melissa for your thoughtfulness and generous support!

You Can Help

Your Help Needed .... 2006 Back-to-School & Fall Harvest Drives

It is hard to believe that it is that time of year again! It is already time to think about children heading back-to-school. We have over 350 homeless children who need YOUR help to help make this next school year a start with success. We need both backpack sponsors/donors and fall harvest clothing “apple” sponsors!

You can help by donating the supplies themselves or the financial support needed to fill 350 backpacks! The cost of supplies for the backpacks is approximately $60. This is a great project for a family, groups of friends, neighbors, co-workers or Sunday school class members. Below is the list of supplies needed. Please deliver to Rainbow Days by July 28th.
