Promise Awards
Each year through our annual Promise Awards ceremony & reception, Rainbow Days recognizes outstanding individuals, corporations, foundations and businesses in honor of their commitment, partnership and support in helping to inspire and prepare children to live a life filled with hope and promise.

On February, 23, 2012 at Brookhollow Golf Club, Rainbow Days will be honor 14 outstanding individuals for their commitment to our mission at Rainbow Days’ 20th Annual Promise Awards Reception. Our Children's Future Lunch
Are you new to Rainbow Days and would like to learn more about how to get further involved? Then, please join us for next Our Children's Future Lunchon Tuesday, February 28th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a quick "lunch and more" where you can meet staff and board, hear a powerful testimony from a program participant and discover ways to get plugged in as a volunteer or donor. Easter EGGstravaganza
Easter EGGstravaganza is Rainbow Days' annual Easter party for children and their families to come and enjoy an Easter egg hunt, carnival games, face painting, karaoke and refreshments. Children receive an Easter basket filled with treats as well as a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Calling all Volunteers and Inkind Donors who would like to donate plastic Easter eggs filled with trinkets and goodies and Easter candy. We need your help to make Rainbow Days’ 20th Annual Easter EGGstravaganza another huge success. Volunteer spots are limited, please sign up now to reserve your spot! Eddie Coker in Concert
Do your kids love to sing and dance? Then you won't want to miss this special concert with Eddie Coker, children's performer and long-time supporter of Rainbow Days. This special "benefit concert" will celebrate Rainbow Days' 30th Anniversary and involves lots of audience interaction - especially with the "little human" kind. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 31st, 2012 at Fellowship Bible Church Dallas for a fun outing your whole family will love! Pot of Gold Luncheon presented by AT&T
Join us for the special 30th anniversary celebration of Rainbow Days at this year’s 2012 Pot of Gold Luncheon presented by AT&T on Friday, April 20, 2012. Rainbow Days is pleased to announce that Donnie Nelson, General Manager and President of Basketball Operations for the Dallas Mavericks, will be the Honorary Chair and we look forward to honoring long-time friend and supporter, Mrs. Nancy Ann Hunt, at the luncheon. Kids' University
Conducted in partnership with a local university or college, this academic camp involves the children in a variety of interactive learning experiences.  Kids' University promotes the merits of higher education, develops social competency and builds self- esteem while reinforcing the importance of continuing their education.

Camp Bravo

 

Camp Bravo!
This is a unique week long performing arts day camp during which homeless children learn songs, dances and speaking lines and create props, costumes and scenery for an original production. The experience culminates in a musical production performed for an audience of family, friends and supporters.

There were two weeks of Camp Bravo! last year held at Northwest Bible Church.

Outdoor Adventure Camp
This traditional recreational day camp experience focuses on skills development and team building activities.  Besides having fun swimming, riding horses, and making crafts, the children learn and practice skills, especially communication, cooperation, goal-setting, problem-solving, and teamwork under the guidance of skilled and caring adults.

This camp, held in August, took place in two locations last year. Camp Whispering Cedars for ages 5-9 and Mt. Lebanon Baptist Camp for ages 10-15.

Back-to-School Celebration
School-age children receive backpacks filled with new grade appropriate school supplies and school uniforms while celebrating at a back-to-school party.

Last year's event took place on Tuesday, August 17th at the Dallas Market Hall and was a huge success!

Santa  

Saturday with Santa
Every year Rainbow Days hosts a holiday party for the homeless children and families that we serve. This event not only gives families a chance to celebrate together but also the opportunity to have some fun, receive a stocking stuffed with goodies and visit with Santa!
